Second outlet, Shepherd's Deli, opening soon!

Shepherd's is delighted to announce that we have recently taken over the established All Season's Delicatessan in Newent town centre where we look forward to opening our second outlet, Shepherd's Deli. The Deli will be closed while we carry out refurbishments, and we hope to reopen in early April. We apologise for any inconvenience the closure may cause, and look forward to meeting the Deli customers old and new very soon. Meanwhile, of course, we'd be delighted to see you at our Farm Shop at Hazelfield Garden Centre.

Bags are big news

Shepherd's Farm Shop no longer offers customers free plastic carriers for their shopping - but we don't charge for them either! We have ditched plastic carrier bags in favour what we consider to be more favourable alternatives.

So if you forget to bring your own bag (we all do sometimes!), but can't juggle all your shopping in your arms, you may be offered either a traditional paper bag, a compostable cornstarch carrier or a bag made from Indian newspapers (sometimes you get a filled in crossword!).  We also often have boxes into which we are happy to pack your shopping, and of course we sell lovely re-usable and stylish jute shopping bags for just £2 each.

We are also assesing the sustainability of our food packaging and other consumables, and will seek to improve these where possible.

New owners of Hazelfield Garden World

Hazelfield Garden World has new owners, Blue Diamond Group. We are enjoying working together and look forward to the continuing improvement of the centre. The restaurant and coffee shop on site are now run as part of the Garden Centre - renamed The Gallery Restaurant and Plantation Cafe. We are delighted that Blue Diamond have chosen to use several of our local food suppliers in these outlets.
